Fionn

Handsome beast Fionn is checking in from his foster home! He has had a bit of interest from families, but we have determined that this big boy needs to be an only dog. He is still doing well with the senior cat, but does not get along with other dogs in the home. He even met another wolfhound and said "no thank you!"

Other than his feelings towards other dogs in the home, Fionn is doing very well in his foster home. He is recovering well from his pneumonia and is gaining some energy back! He is still working on leash manners on occasional neighborhood walks, but also loves to sniff around the fenced-in yard. Fionn has even found a favorite toy and will carry it around happily squeaking it. He loves his humans and is loyal and protective of them as a good wolfhound would be. He loves being brushed, getting belly rubs, and breathing right in your face while you scratch between his eyes.

Fionn is a 3.5 year old Irish Wolfhound weighing in around 185lbs. He would be happiest in a home with no other dogs. Cats are ok as long as they are seniors; a young, playful cat would probably not be a good fit with Fionn. Irish Wolfhound experience is strongly preferred for Fionn's future family, but large breed dog experience is ok too.
